Children at Kathwood
At Kathwood Baptist, children are important! The goal of the Children’s Ministry is to meet the children’s needs—socially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually — through developmentally appropriate activities. At the same time, Kathwood stresses the significance of each child as an individual.
In order to minister effectively with children, it is necessary to involve them in all aspects of church life. Spiritual formation opportunities and extended worship are available for the youngest members of the congregation.

Nursery and Extended Care
Extended care is available during worship and on Wednesday evenings for all preschoolers. Babies, toddlers, and children ages 3-5 are cared for in separate rooms. Church volunteers work with paid staff and are on duty in the baby and toddler rooms. The 3K through 5K leadership is provided by church members who present a Bible story and activities for the enrichment of these preschoolers during the worship hour. Extended care for infants and preschoolers is upstairs in rooms 1 and 2.
